Sakura Trio bring the musical world of anime into a jazz-inspired setting, reworking familiar melodies through improvisation and the distinctive combination of violin, saxophone and fingerstyle guitar.

🎵 Caroline Liu on violin, Raphaël Biamonti on saxophone and Cambodian guitarist Kemhour Teav explore beloved themes from Japanese animation, giving them new arrangements shaped by jazz harmony and live interaction. Kemhour's intricate fingerstyle guitar provides the foundation, combining melody, harmony and rhythm while leaving room for violin and saxophone to respond, improvise and reshape the familiar themes. The result moves between intimate and nostalgic passages, playful grooves and more energetic arrangements, somewhere between an anime soundtrack and a late night jazz club.
